None of our neighbors should have to choose between purchasing medicine, buying sufficient food, or keeping their aging parents, or their children warm.
It is incumbent upon all of us to care for those who need our help.

Journal Entry for the 2020-2021- Heating Season
Dear Journal ,
This past year has been difficult for many families, but we have been able to respond to the times and now operate year round, not just the winter season. So this year, instead of the usual 60 to 70 households, we were able to help 130 households! During the Fall of 2020 Wood Day, we were able to take 10 cords of wood out to the community and stacked an unbelievable 19 cords to be accessed through the last winter.
In addition to these 29 cord, between September 2020 and September 2021 we were able to offer:
- 28 fuel oil deliveries
- 25 Propane deliveries
- 12 cords of wood delivered
- 5 load of wood pellets,
- 10 kerosene deliveries
- 14 electricity payments (including some back bills)
- 2 furnace cleanings
- Several Boxes of Socks given to Dimitri's Box o' Sox
- Several families invited to the woodbank
There have been rewarding moments when we have also been able to help some deserving people in Hillsborough, Warner, Concord, Henniker, Webster, Sutton, and Danbury.
We have also, thankfully, been able to make a donation to one of our churches and to Loaves & Fishes to assist them in their mission to keep people warm throughout cold and hard times. Also, the Contoocook Carry Community Fund has continued to assist the Town's Human Services Department with a donation to its winter Fuel Assistance Fund.
